FYGU is a national festival and digital platform connecting YOU with your favorite music artists, lifestyle passions and brands.

Find Your Grind, “FYG,” is a non-profit co-founded by Nick Gross and Natasha Gross, with the goal of answering three questions every student faces –

FYG stands for exposing, enlightening, and educating students and teacher to tomorrow’s possibilities through M.A.T. (Music. Art. Technology) programs to elementary, middle and high schools. FYG U is about creating a movement centered around music and technology that allows students to celebrate their passions and show them the possibilities of who they can be.

How do I register for my free ticket?

You must show a valid student ID upon entry.

What are the festival date/ hours?

The festival will be open from 5:00-10:30 PM.

Where can I get a schedule for the event?

Download the FYG app for lineup, programming, speaker series schedule and map of the festival grounds. Or go to www.fygufest.com (FYG app is iOS compatible only)

Re-entry policy?

Re-entry policy is up to University's discretion. Please see below for you school’s policy.

CU Boulder: No re entry after 7 PM.
Mizzou: No policy, you can come and go as you please.
Umass: No re-entry will be allowed at all.
U of Illinois: No re-entry after 7 PM.

You can bring

  • CLEAR plastic, vinyl or PVC that are no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” (readily available one-gallon, clear, re-sealable plastic storage bags meet the policy)
  • If a logo appears on the bag, it cannot be larger than 4.5” x 6.5”
  • Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”, or approximately the size of a hand, with or without a strap are allowed
*Medically necessary items that are too large to fit into a clear bag within allowable dimensions can be brought in only after clearing a screening process at the information booth

You cannot bring

  • Alcohol or illegal drugs
  • Weapons or explosives
  • Fireworks
  • Drones or any other unmanned aircraft.
  • Kites
  • Umbrellas
  • Food or beverage from outside the event (empty bottles or cups will be permitted)
  • Glass of any kind, including glass bottles
  • Coolers of any kind
  • All bags that are not clear plastic, vinyl or PVC
  • All bags larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
  • Artificial noisemakers (whistles, bells, air horns)
  • Video equipment, tape recorders, cameras with lenses longer than 6″
  • Amplified sound devices (Wireless speakers, etc.)
  • Megaphones, PA systems, air horns
  • Sticks, poles, flags or signs
  • Laser pointers
  • Laptops
  • Pets
  • Strollers
  • Chairs
  • Hammocks / other lounging equipment
  • Tarps / blankets
  • Personal transportation devices (skateboards, hoverboards, etc.)
  • Beach balls or other airborne objects
  • Water guns and water balloons
  • Flyers / stickers

How can I access the Main Stage Prime Student Viewing Area?

  • You will need a yellow wristband to gain access into the Prime Student Viewing Area
  • Yellow wristbands will be handed out at the festival entrance and in front of prime student viewing area.
  • To get a wristband you need to show you are a prime student member

  • There will only be 300 students allowed in the main stage viewing area at a time and this will be based on a first come, first serve basis.
